I was asked to submit a statement for a news story about musicians speaking out against the racist treatment of a customer at Ozuo Bay, a restaurant owned and operated by Atlas Restaurant Group here in Baltimore, Maryland USA. Here it is for anyone who'd like to hear my perspective:
I'm skeptical that it will be accurately presented because Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company who owns the Fox45 Baltimore news station, is also the owner of the Atlas Restaurant Group. Time will tell I guess, but silence is acceptance to me, so I refuse to not speak if it can help move the needle.
